After Kyle Freeland and the bullpen shut out the Washington Nationals’ lineup on Saturday evening, the Colorado Rockies now sit on the verge of their first six-game winning streak and first road series sweep of the season (second if you count the postponed Atlanta series).
On the mound for the Rockies will be Jon Gray. Gray went over a month without earning a win until his last outing in Atlanta, where he allowed two runs over five strong innings. Gray has not pitched past the fifth inning in five of his last six starts and hasn’t reached the seventh inning since July.
