After a 17-2 drubbing at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday, the Colorado Rockies bounced back and beat the Brew Crew 7-2 during Thursday’s day game.
Unfortunately, that momentum did not carry over into San Diego, where the Rockies got roughed up once again 8-0 by the Padres — their first shutout of the season.
It’s still early, but they are staring a 3-10 start in the face, which is tied for the worst start in franchise history with the 2024, 2021, 2019 and 2005 clubs. But of those four, only the 2019 and 2021 clubs moved on to 3-11.
