So... about last night.
The Colorado Rockies dropped their fourth game of the 2024 season of which they held a four runs or greater lead in the ninth inning. This is a feat never before accomplished in the modern era. If I had a nickel for every time the Rockies blew a four-or-more run lead in the ninth inning, I’d have to nickels—which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
Tonight the Rockies look to rebound against their fellow basement dwellers, the Miami Marlins, in the third of four games with the aim of cementing at least a series split.
