For the first time since 2019, the Rockies will play at Yankee Stadium when New York hosts Colorado for a three-game series starting Friday night.
Kyle Freeland (3-5, 5.97 ERA) will start game one for the Rockies, making his second-ever start at Yankee Stadium. The last one came in 2019 and didn’t go so well. He gave up five earned runs on six hits including a homer in four innings. A lot has happened since 2019 when Freeland lost his mojo and was sent to Triple-A. He has been building his way back up and through injuries ever since.
