Fresh off an exciting series win against the Atlanta Braves, the Colorado Rockies hit the road once again looking to play some spoiler in the dog days of summer. Their target for the next three games is the playoff-hopeful and resurgent Arizona Diamondbacks. The Snakes have gone 17-5 since the All-Star Break.
On the mound for the Rockies and making his first career major league start is the right-handed Bradley Blalock. Blalock was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers prior to this year’s trade deadline. The no. 20 organizational prospect per MLB Pipeline, Blalock has an arsenal consisting of a mid-90s four seam fastball, a curveball, a slider, and a splitter.
