For the 11th time this season, the Colorado Rockies were shut out on Tuesday. Scattering six hits the Rockies weren’t able to counter Ty Blach’s rough 2 1⁄3 inning outing after Germán Márquez was placed on the injured list. Anthony Molina and Noah Davis managed to eat the 6 1⁄3 innings of the table which was a much-needed result all things considered.
The Rockies will hope to fare better with Cal Quantrill (6-7, 4.15 ERA) on the hill as the possibility of him being traded grows closer. Quantrill has been a quality-start machine this season and enters this start on the heels of a six-inning quality start against the San Francisco Giants.
