The Rockies lost a close one tonight.
Jorge De La Rosa had another decent outing, although just like in his previous start, he didn't make it past the fifth inning. In this one, De La Rosa gave up five hits, two of which were doubles, and five runs in five innings. He also walked three and struck out nine. De La Rosa has now struck out 16 batters in his last ten innings pitched. The Rockies were ahead 2-1 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but a two-run single by Justin Upton put the Padres in front for good.
