What Chris Iannetta brought back to a franchise he spent his first six seasons with was more than expected. Paid like a backup and performing as a platoon player in the seasons prior, in 2018 Iannetta was a replacement-level guy who had to start 84 games and play 110.
Not that Iannetta’s second stint was particularly special, slashing .223/.335/.395 over 162 games in two seasons worth of ball.
