Even though he didn’t make his June debut until the 8th of the month, Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon was just named the winner of the National League Player of the Month for his play in the month of June.
He spent the first seven days of the month on the injured list with a right calf strain but he returned to the Rockies with a vengeance.
In 22 games in the month (21 games), he hit .412/.441/.835 with an astounding 10 home runs, 25 RBI, 30 runs, and 40 hits, including seven doubles and two triples.
