The Rockies were totally handcuffed yet again by the Mets' pitching, mustering just three hits over nine innings and getting shut out yet again. Jorge De La Rosa was solid, but when you can't score any runs, you won't win many games.
Jacob deGrom breezed through seven innings allowing two hits. The Rockies were totally helpless against his 97 mph heat and dirty sliders and baffling change ups. Even when DJ LeMahieu hit a double off deGrom and Michael McKenry walked to lead off the fifth, it still felt like deGrom was in control. He struck out Brandon Barnes, got De La Rosa on a bunt, and struck out Charlie Blackmon.
