On Wednesday, the Colorado Rockies announced 19 non-roster invitees who will be invited to Major League spring training. They include a number of minor-league signings and prospects who are not a part of the 40-man roster.
This year’s group includes:
- Right-handed pitchers (4): Rico Garcia, Chi Chi González, Peter Lambert, Matt Pierpont
The only signing that appears to not to have been previously reported is Grills. Grills pitched to a 3.90 ERA in 85 1⁄3 innings for Triple-A Albuquerque in 2018 and has re-signed with the club on a minor-league deal.
