For the 2019 season, the Colorado Rockies have designated July 2 and July 3 (both games against the Houston Astros at 6:10 p.m.) and September 27 against the Milwaukee Brewers at 6:10 p.m. as “fireworks games.” As a scheduling oddity, the Rockies are actually off this season on July 4.
As this will be the only time some fans see the Rockies this season at Coors Field, here are some helpful hints on what to expect.
Gate times and locations
As a point of reference, Coors Field has five lettered gates for entry. They are Gate A (Section 105, behind bullpens, right center field), Gate B (Section 111, right-field corner, 22nd and Blake Streets), Gate C (Section 122, first base, 21st and Blake Streets), Gate D (Section 130, home plate, 20th and Blake Streets) and Gate E (Section 147, left-field corner, Wynkoop Walkway).
