They were able to overcome a rough outing on the mound from Jon Gray, who gave up five runs on eight hits in just 4 2⁄3 innings, leaving the game with a 5-2 deficit. However, the Rockies got 4 1⁄3 scoreless innings from Mike Dunn, Bryan Shaw and Wade Davis and scored seven runs in the last two innings to secure the win.
