The Colorado Rockies rode another strong performance from Kyle Freeland and a Nolan Arenado home run to a 3-1 win over the Oakland A’s at Coors Field. The win for the Rockies snapped Oakland’s six-game winning streak.
The Rockies got on the board in the top of the second when Garrett Hampson recorded a bunt single that brought home Noel Cuevas, who had reached on a bunt single of his own. Ian Desmond doubled the Rockies’ lead with an RBI single in the fifth before Arenado provided the insurance with his home run.
