The Colorado Rockies once again got an outstanding performance from their starting pitcher in a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. After Tyler Anderson pitched eight shutout innings on Friday, Germán Márquez matched him on Saturday, allowing just one run on two hits in eight innings of work with no walks and nine strikeouts.
Offensively, the Rockies did enough against Kenta Maeda, against whom they have notoriously struggled, with the bottom of the order providing two of their three runs on the night.
Márquez put together what was easily his best start of the season on Saturday, allowing just a run on two hits in eight innings of work with no walks and nine strikeouts.
