With the Detroit Tigers making their first trip to 20th and Blake for the first time since 2011, the Blake Street Bombers made sure they didn’t need to pack brooms for the journey.
After taking a 4-3 lead in the seventh inning, Nolan Arenado came to the plate and made sure the lead was protected. With an 0-1 count, Arenado blasted a three-run shot into the left center field stands to put the Rockies up 7-3.
The shot was Arenado’s 30th on the season and a league leading 111 runs batted in.
