LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Catcher Chris Iannetta is really into wine.
Back in 2012, Iannetta and former Angels teammate Vernon Wells established the Jack winery, based out of Napa, Calif. They’ve released a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Sauvignon Blanc and a Bordeaux, and their venture has been chronicled in “Wine Spectator” magazine.
And although Iannetta will turn 35 on April 8, he’s not ready to check in his gear and turn his full-time attention to growing grapes. He still believes he has a lot of baseball left to give. The Rockies believe so, too, which is why they signed Iannetta to a two-year, $8.
