PITTSBURGH -- John Jaso had been hitting well as of late. So had Andrew McCutchen. They both delivered once again on Tuesday night, with both crushing two-run homers late to propel the Pirates to a 5-2 victory over the Rockies at PNC Park.
Jaso's home run off Rockies reliever Adam Ottavino in the seventh came off a 1-0 fastball and barely cleared the center-field wall. McCutchen, who homered earlier in the fourth, clobbered a homer to left field in the eighth. Their two-run blasts followed a quality outing from Pirates right-hander Gerrit Cole.
