Charlie Blackmon finally rediscovered his magic.
The right fielder, mired in a deep slump, hit a two-run, walk-off home run in the 12th inning off Juan Nicasio to lift the Rockies to an improbable 4-3, 12-inning victory over the Phillies on Friday night at Coors Field.
It was Blackmon’s first home run of the season and his first homer in 88 at-bats, dating back to last season. It was the third career walk-off RBI of Blackmon’s career and his second career walk-off home run.
The biggest hit of Colorado’s season came shortly after Bryce Harper, Philadelphia’s high-priced, high-profile right fielder, ripped a run-scoring double off Chad Bettis in the 12th inning to put the Phillies in front 3-2.
