Probably more than any Rockies player, Charlie Blackmon lives the baseball cliche: one game at a time.
But even Blackmon is taking a few moments to stop and appreciate the things he’s accomplished since making his big-league debut 11 years ago.
Blackmon, 35, hit the 200th home run of his career on Tuesday night in Colorado’s 5-3 victory over the Giants at Oracle Park. And he’s climbing the franchise’s all-time hitting charts at a fast pace.
“Even playing just one day in the big leagues is so special,” Blackmon said before Wednesday night’s game against the Giants.
