The Topes put together a five run second inning that included an RBI triple by Trevor Story, which was more than enough on a night where Chad Bettis came healthy and in top form. Bettis worked five scoreless innings, striking out seven and collecting four groundouts without walking a batter. Bettis threw 44 of his 67 pitches for strikes in his dominant return from elbow inflammation. Brooks Brown and Tyler Matzek worked two clean innings in relief.
