Two days after exiting a game with a sprained left hand, Rockies right fielder Carlos Gonzalez remains out of the lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field.
"Right now, we think it's going to be a day-to-day deal. Just one or two days," manager Walt Weiss said. "But with the hand it is always a little concerning with hitters. ... There is always a concern it could linger, but we don't think it's anything serious."
Weiss said he might consider using Gonzalez as a pinch-hitter or as a substitute fielder if the situation called for it.
