Antonio Senzatela was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday to make his first start since July 20. It did not go well as the Cardinals put a capper on a four-game sweep in St Louis.

Senzatela pitched a quick 1-2-3 first inning, but the wheels came off in the second. In all, Senzatela allowed five hits and also walked two batters (including a bases-loaded walk to Dexter Fowler). Things went from bad to worse for “Senze” (his chosen Players Weekend nickname) after Cardinals starting pitcher Michael Wacha lined a comebacker off his left calf.
