DENVER -- The Rockies entered Monday night having won all nine games they led after six innings. But this was at Coors Field, against the Padres, which has been a bad combination in 2018.
Their one-run lead in the seventh became a deficit when left fielder Ian Desmond lost Matt Szczur's liner in the lights and Franchy Cordero followed with a homer, which led to a nine-run inning and a 13-5 loss.
The Rockies fell to 3-7 at a home, 1-3 against the Padres.
