The Colorado Rockies’ starting rotation is once again a bit of a question mark heading into the 2025 season, but there is a bit more excitement than last year.
Three mainstays are poised to return; two others are set to (hopefully) return from Tommy John surgery; but there are a few prospects knocking on the door. Bill Schmidt has even alluded to some shakeups that might happen. The Denver Post reported that Schmidt spoke with Kyle Freeland and Austin Gomber, telling them that change could be coming.
“I told them, if one of the young guys is ready, we aren’t afraid to go with them,” Schmidt said.
