Blue Jays knock over Tyler Anderson, then topple Rockies in rare interleague series at Coors Field

A fellow pitcher steamrolled Tyler Anderson to his backside Wednesday, but he held on to the ball like Jerome Bettis after a four-man rush. An interleague series against the Toronto Blue Jays and old friend Troy Tulowitzki rested with him in the dirt.

The Rockies, after a marathon loss the game before that didn’t end until early Wednesday morning, gritted their teeth and brushed off the dust trying to scrape out a victory. But the big, bad Blue Jays are a team built for the World Series. They narrowly missed a chance last season. They mortgaged their future to pry Tulowitzki out of Colorado last July.
