The Rockies found themselves down big early and were unable to complete the comeback against the Astros today, losing by a final score of 10-8. All 10 of those runs were charged to Germán Márquez. Two home runs from Ryan McMahon and another from Nolan Arenado proved to be not enough as the Rockies dropped their fourth straight.
Comeback falls short
Down 10-3 after the top of the fifth inning, the Rockies made an admirable attempt at a comeback. Ryan McMahon hit a two-run home run in the bottom half of the inning to make it 10-5, and Rockies tacked on two more when Charlie Blackmon hit a two-run single in the sixth.
