MIAMI -- Rockies All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado left Sunday's game at Marlins Park after being hit by a pitch on the left hand by Marlins right-hander Vance Worley in the fifth inning.
Worley's 88-mph fastball came on a 2-1 pitch. Clearly in pain, Arenado walked toward the dugout and was examined by a Rockies trainer and manager Bud Black.
After several minutes, Arenado came off the field and headed for the clubhouse.
It's the second straight game Arenado has exited early. He was ejected in the seventh inning of Saturday's 4-3 loss after tossing his bat on a called strike three on a check swing.
