The Colorado Rockies missed the boat during the 2014 off-season by not selling high on Justin Morneau. He was coming off a huge comeback year, and had a lot of value after winning a batting title while slashing .319/.364/.496 in 135 games. He proved he could still play at a high level and there were multiple teams looking for a first basemen of that caliber. We all know what happened though. The Rockies didn’t move him and he played 49 games in 2015 and spent most of the year on the disabled list. Now he’s long gone and they got nothing for him.
