Antonio Senzatela, Greg Holland, Jason Motte struggle on mound in Rockies’ loss

TEMPE, Ariz. — Right-hander starter candidate Anthony Senzatela, and relievers Greg Holland and Jason Motte, scuffled against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday on a hot afternoon in the desert.

The Rockies lost 9-3 and were limited to only six hits.

For starters: Senzatela, so effective and unruffled in previous spring appearances, got beat up a bit. The Angels punched him for four runs on eight hits over 3 u2154 innings, including an RBI triple by Nolan Fontana in the second. Senzatela struck out five, including whiffs of Mike Trout and Albert Pujols, but he issued his first walk of the Cactus League season.
