The 94th edition of the MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday night at 6 MDT in Arlington, Texas, and Colorado Rockies third baseman Ryan McMahon is making his Midsummer Classic debut off the bench.
McMahon, 29, is in his eighth season (seventh full season) in the Major Leagues and having a breakout season offensively to pair with his strong defensive skills at third base. He has hit 14 homers and 21 doubles and driven in 45 runs while hitting .272/.350/.447/.797. Getting selected for the game is a huge honor for the Rockies second-round draft pick in 2013, who then was asked to fill the shoes of Nolan Arenado’s vacancy when the then five-time All-Star (now eight) was traded to the Cardinals in 2021.
