Warren Schaeffer is the new manager of the Albuquerque Isotopes, the Rockies’ Triple-A affiliate announced Tuesday.
The 34-year-old has a 344-347 record in five years as a manager between the Single-A Asheville Tourists (2015-17) and Double-A Hartford Yard Goats (2018-19). He led Asheville to the South Atlantic League championship series in his first season with the Tourists and had a .500 record in two seasons with the Yard Goats, including a 73-66 mark in 2019.
A Western Pennsylvania native, Schaeffer began his coaching career as a hitting coach with Tri-City Dust Devils of the short-season Single-A Northwest League from 2013-14.
