Albuquerque Isotopes Park seeing fewer home runs from Rockies prospects

With the baseball season approaching two months old, it's time to ask: Has the drop of 1,231 feet in elevation from Security Service Field in Colorado Springs to Isotopes Park in Albuquerque meant fewer home runs for the Triple-A players in the Rockies' farm system?

At 6,531 feet, Security Service Field is the highest ballpark in elevation in professional baseball. The amount of home runs hit in the shadow of Pikes Peak always was a source of conversation during the Rockies' affiliation with the Sky Sox from 1993 through last season.

With the Milwaukee Brewers' Triple-A players in the Colorado Springs clubhouse this year, there already has been a game with 10 home runs.
