AJ Ramos returned to the mound yesterday after being gone for two years. His last appearance was in 2018 when he was with the New York Mets. In his appearance yesterday, Ramos only gave up one hit, but more importantly, it was the first time he has pitched pain free since 2014.
Ramos had dealt with shoulder pain and constant treatment for years. Despite that, he made the All-Star game in 2016 while he was with the Miami Marlins. After a rough recovery following surgery for a torn labrum in 2018, Ramos was determined to return to the game he loves.
