On the eve of the World Series, the Houston Astros found themselves defending the actions of one of their front office executives following a Sports Illustrated report that alleged a verbal encounter with female reporters, which the magazine described as “offensive and frightening” enough to prompt an apology from another team employee.
The incident occurred after Game 6 of the American League Championship Series.
According to the SI report, Astros assistant general manager Brandon Taubman repeatedly yelled supportive comments about closer Roberto Osuna to a group of three female reporters in the Houston clubhouse.
