NEW YORK -- There's nothing wrong with home runs. The Rockies hit plenty of them, and they added to their National League-leading total with two more in an 8-7 win over the Mets on Friday at Citi Field.
Charlie Blackmon hit his 11th, temporarily tying Washington's Bryce Harper for the most in the National League (before Harper hit his second of the night and 12th of the year against the Phillies). Tony Wolters hit his first in 318 at-bats.
But if you're looking for the key to this win and to the best sign the Rockies could get, it was the five runs they scored in the first inning.
