COMMERCE CITY – The Rapids are without one of their key players this week as striker Diego Rubio has been selected to the Chilean National team for friendlies. Rubio came from Sporting KC in the offseason and has one goal.
Another of the Rapids four goals was also scored by a recent addition. Fifth overall pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft Andre Shinyashiki has been a solid contributor. A former Denver Pioneer, Shinyashiki will most likely be tasked to replace Rubio for the Rapids match in Dallas Saturday.
“Regardless of whether I’m starting or coming off the bench, I just try to be ready to play,” Shinyashiki said.
