Imagine you are the head coach of the United States Women's National Team. You have just won the 2015 Women's World Cup and just concluded a successful Victory Tour of the US. You were able to field a team of 23 players in Canada last summer and now you are faced with picking an Olympic Qualifying Roster that can have 20 players for qualifying (to eventually be cut to 18 for the actual Olympics).
That is just what head coach Jill Ellis is having to do. She announced the roster for Olympic Qualifying yesterday and while some of the familiar names were left off, there is a lot of quality on this squad.
