The Third Round of the US Open Cup is done and dusted and the round saw the Charlotte Independence and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC take the pitch in an attempt to make a run at Major League Soccer competition in the fourth round.
Here is our Third Round Review:
Carolina RailHawks (NASL) 5:0 (AET) Charlotte Independence (USL)
Well, this one started out solidly. The Independence were playing well and had a number of chances to put one on the board, but in the 29th minute Charlotte went down to 10 men and the Lads responded brilliantly and held on for an hour forcing the game into Extra Time.
