In Leg 1 of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16, Toronto FC came to Colorado to play the Rapids on a (very) frigid night in Commerce City. The Burgundy Boys put up a solid fight in the first half, but started to get tired and break down in the second half, allowing TFC to get two away goals for a final score of 2-0. After the match, Rapids Head Coach Anthony Hudson said that while they wanted to win, the focus was on the pre-season and getting the guys fit, which was why he didn’t sub out any players.
