The Colorado Rapids have not had any new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since last weekend’s game against the L.A. Galaxy was postponed. Still, MLS announced Monday night it would postpone Rapids matches for the next 10 days.
The decision comes after the club already had four matches postponed in the wake of 17 positive tests within the franchise since late September — five players and 12 staff members.
Major League Soccer said its decision to postpone additional matches was based on the total number of confirmed cases, and was done “in consultation with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
