Ahead of Saturday’s Home Opener against five-times MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy (5:00 p.m. MT), here are 10 things you may, or may not, have known.
- This will be a 68th regular season meeting between these two MLS originals. Neither has played against any other opponent more. It will equal the head-to-head tally currently enjoyed by D.C. United and New York Red Bulls.
- With the two Western Conference opponents set to meet on March 12, this will be the earliest that LA Galaxy has visited Colorado. Their only previous trip in the month came on March 29, 2008, when goals from Terry Cooke, Christian Gomez, Omar Cummings and Colin Clark gave Colorado a 4-0 win to open the season.
