Much will be expected of two veterans of the game when the Colorado Rapids visit the Portland Timbers on Wednesday night (Altitude, 8:30 p.m. MT).
Irish international Kevin Doyle was the last player to score for the Rapids, when he edged them ahead at home to Vancouver Whitecaps FC on August 5. His leadership in the final third will be needed at Providence Park.
The Timbers will again look to their in-form midfielder Diego Valeri. He has 14 goals this season, including one in each of the last four games.
