The Colorado Rapids have officially inked 1860 Munich midfielder Stefan Aigner to a 3 1/2-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.
Aigner, 29, will occupy an international spot for the Rapids and officially be added to the roster after the club receives a receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa.
The contract’s monetary details have not been disclosed.
“We’re excited to add a player of Stefan’s caliber to our roster for the next three-and-a-half years,” Rapids interim general manager Padraig Smith said in a news release. “As an organization, we are committed to fielding a forward-thinking side and bringing in Stefan — a technical and versatile player who can excel in multiple attacking roles — will help us achieve that vision.
