Colorado Rapids defender Sean St. Ledger will be out four to six weeks after undergoing surgery on his right knee, the club announced Wednesday.
The Rapids said the 31-year-old center back had an arthroscopic procedure Tuesday and repair work was done on a torn meniscus.
This is St. Ledger's second knee procedure since the end of the 2015 season. He struggled to return to action after the first procedure.
The former Ireland international signed with the Rapids in August and played 1,048 minutes (12 starts) for Colorado last season, but has yet to see the field in 2016.
