With the Rapids’ 1-0 victory over Portland Timbers, they secured an Audi 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs berth for the first time since 2013. Sebastien Le Toux scored his first goal for the club in the 63rd minute to take all three points and allow Colorado to set their sights on a first-round bye as well as the Supporters’ Shield.
They head to Houston for the first of two matches against the Dynamo this month. Houston are bottom of the Western Conference with 32 points, but would love to play spoiler against a Colorado side who had similar struggles last season.
