The Dallas Morning News reported that a “source close to the team” confirmed that the Colorado Rapids are getting homegrown midfielder Kellyn Acosta from FC Dallas in exchange for Rapids’ forward Dominique Badji.
Acosta has been with FCD since 2013 and is one of the young rising stars on the USMNT, so what would be in this for Dallas? Well, Acosta had a rough season in 2017 and in early 2018 he had surgery for a sports hernia. After coming back, he started a few games but then seemed to be frustrated when he was subbed out by Oscar Pareja in a match on June 23.
