Two goals from Nathan Braaten helped Colorado Rapids’ U23s to a comfortable 5-1 over Albuquerque Sol on Saturday night, in what was their final home match of the Premier Development League (PDL) season.
Nathan Braaten opened the scoring in the 15th minute after Jaret Townsend slotted a ball through Albuquerque backline giving Braaten a clear view of the goal. Braaten netted the team’s fourth goal just after the half, as he connected with Townsend again.
Playing in only his second match for the Rapids, Griffin Dorsey followed up his two assist against Brigham Young University last Thursday with his first goal.
