Major League Soccer takes a fair amount of grief from fans around the United States and the world about its various problems. There is no promotion/relegation. We use playoffs to determine our league champion. We don't have a balanced schedule. Our refereeing can be suspect, at best.
But one thing the league cannot be accused of is not investing in the future. Today, MLS announced a massive change to the Targeted Allocation Money program and more investment for teams to sign Homegrown players.
