The Colorado Rapids will hire Robin Fraser as their next head coach, a league source has told The Denver Post.
Fraser–currently an assistant with Toronto FC — will become the 10th full-time coach in club history. The announcement is expected sometime Sunday.
Fraser, 52, enjoyed an illustrious playing career that included 27 caps for the US Men’s National Team. He played on the Rapids backline from 2001-2003 and was a member of the Colorado Foxes before that from 1990-1995. .
Fraser has been a head coach once before, leading Chivas USA for two years just before the franchise folded.
